With the lovely recent weather and the evenings low tide on The River Thames, made for a great shot of Chiswick Bridge in London with Mortlake's riverside bank. To get there proved more tricky then imagined, the thick sludge covered the bank and it seemed the only way to get past it was to walk through it, at one point it was ankle deep and the chance to lose your shoe become ever present. Once pasted the sludge and after a quick paddle in the water, I set up ready to capture this beautiful evening glow. The Swan pub on the left has been a scene of many a riverside pint and provides some great food.
The image below was also taken at F11 but with a 3 minute exposure using a 10 stop ND filter. I really like the effect it produces with the reflections in the water. |
