To think that half an hours drive out of London can land you in such lush and open spaces, fields and farms as far as the eye can see. The North Wessex Downs in Wiltshire provides just that, heading off the M4 at juntion 14 you soon realise the beauty around you and just 1 wrong turn can lead you to typical narrow country lanes. Wondering into fields like these gives a sense of emotion, almost exhilaration, the fresh spring air, vibrant colours and of course the animals roaming. I guess it takes living in a big city for a long time to really appreciate the beauty and peacefulness of the countryside.
