Hampton Court Riverside

| The riverside around Hampton Court Bridge is unusually quiet for the area, I could imagine hot summer days are filled with crowds of people visiting the popular Hampton Court Palace but the riverside offers little to do in terms of pubs and resturants, infact the only corner with some life is in this shot. This shortfall brings a whole new adaption being a very peaceful and mellow place to relax, the boats bobbing on The Thames while the ducks seem to be interested in what this creature is that has found its way down to the river! |

| Being by the riverside I completely forgot that Hampton Court Palace was just over the bridge, so as I walked over the bridge in the rain the palace came into view, it looked awesome with the lights on and the blue stormy clouds overhead. The rain was heavy but just as I approached the main gate it stopped, literally... Perfect, I made my way in the gate to be confronted by a security guard enquiring to what I was doing, it turned out to be a really nice guard who was more then happy to let me venture in and take a few shots. The rain on the ground made for some really awesome reflections and was definitely an added bonus. |
